What you need to know about voting in the June 11 Primaries!

2024 Democratic State & Local Primaries!

Primary Day for our Local, State, and Congressional offices is Tuesday June 11!  Here's what you need to know about voting in Charleston County:

When?  Polls will be open from 7am-7pm, Tuesday June 11

Where?  Your regular neighborhood polling location.*  Please check SCvotes.gov to confirm your polling location.

*Please note 5 precincts in Charleston County will not be voting at their typically polling location for the June 11 Primaries:

  • St. Andrews 10, 14 at Pinecrest Baptist Church moved to: Ashley River Creative Arts Elementary School - 1871 Wallace School Rd.

  • St. Andrews 22, 23 at Old St Andrew’s Parish Church moved to: Montessori Community School - 2120 Wood Ave.

  • McClellanville at Lincoln High School moved to New Wappetaw Presbyterian Church - 635 Pinckney St.

**Please note that because there is no state-wide, or county-wide, primary, not every precinct will have a Democratic Primary.  The following precincts DO NOT have a Democratic Primary on June 11:

  • Charleston 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7

  • Ladson

  • Lincolnville

  • North Charleston 9

  • St. Andrews 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, and 37

Problems at the polls?  The party does not appoint poll watchers in primaries, but if you run into any issues, please call the SC Democratic Party Voter Protection Hotline at 855-785-0222.
