State Democratic Party Elects New Leadership

At a history making convention last weekend, South Carolina Democrats elected Christale Spain as the first black woman to serve as our State Party Chair and Colleen Condon, the first non-binary party officer, will serve as our First Vice Chair. Mayra Rivera-Vazquez and Michelle Brandt were also elected Second and Third Vice Chair respectively.

We know that where Charleston County leads the rest of the state will follow. With half of the elected party leadership now hailing from Charleston, it’s clear that the South Carolina Democratic Party and Charleston Democrats are poised to make huge strides toward progress in the Palmetto State. Congratulations to the newly elected leadership. We are excited to continue our work with you all throughout the year!
