Maj. Melvin Whittenburg Has a Bold Vision for SC

The Charleston County Democratic Party is very proud to be hosting Major Melvin Whittenburg at our monthly meeting in July. Major Whittenburg has laid out a comprehensive plan for making the Secretary of State's office a force for positive change in people's lives and a driver of business growth for all communities in South Carolina, especially those who have been underserved by existing policies. His "Boots to Business" program will assist veterans entering the business community by waiving all state application fees. In collaboration with the SC Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and the non-profit Building Better Communities, Major Whittenburg is developing training and outreach programs to help every South Carolinian achieve success in our state.
